L&E are always looking for high quality people to be part of our team.  July & August are our busiest months but there are potential opportunities at other times of the year.

We require people who have great interpersonal skills when engaging with young people, their parents or guardians and colleagues. Other essential qualities include being a good listener, being reliable and having a good sense of humour.

The days are long but ultimately fun and incredibly rewarding.  Successful candidates should be able to deal with all situations with tact, diplomacy and common sense. Board & Lodgings are usually included plus suitable salary.

World Camps

Our World Camp Tutors/Counsellors get involved with all aspects of camp life. They are ultimately responsible for the welfare of up to 70 children.  The following characteristics are very desirable:

  • Able to deal with all situations with tact, diplomacy and common sense.

Most new recruits will start as part of the Summer Camp Tutor/Counsellor team but we are always looking for individuals who are able to bring certain skills and maybe even run the programmes.  The following positions are possibly available:

  • Camp Director
  • Assistant Camp Director
  • Head of Adventure
  • Head of Sport
  • Head of Creative Arts
  • Football/Soccer Coaches
  • Tennis Coaches
  • Lifeguards
  • Evening Activity Co-Ordinator
  • TEFL Teachers

Teen Travel

Travel Mentors will be responsible for groups of up to 8 teens.  They will be there to guide, reassure, advise and ultimately facilitate a successful travel experience.  Programmes are 2 weeks.  We have a Travel Mentor in Training (TMT) programme for new recruits.  Applicants will need to have a background of travel and the following characteristics:

  • A sense of fun and adventure
  • Enjoy the company of 13-16 year olds
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Good listeners
  • Reliable
  • Good sense of humour
  • Able to deal with all situations with tact, diplomacy and common sense.

If you have attended one or more of our programmes you are welcome to apply to work for L&E. The first summer you work for us it will be on a voluntary basis and you will have to be 18 years old before the start of camp. You must be able to commit to a minimum 2 week period.
