New Campers Arrive: Sunday, 19 July

On day 7 of World Camp UK, we welcomed our new campers on site, while our group from last week went for a beach trip to Bournemouth.

Our new arrivals got settled in, enjoyed a barbecue, and played some icebreakers. Afterwards, everyone watched the Spain vs. Argentina match, and it was a very intense match. Congratulations to Spain for winning the FIFA World Cup 2026!

Catch you later for the first day of week 2!

Summer Camp Icebreakers: Monday, 20 July

Day 8 of Camp UK started off wet and sunny as campers took to the river for Adventure in the morning.

The campers who remained on site split between getting to make pillows from L&E merch (using their newly found sewing skills for the good of a soft souvenir), and getting flexible in gymnastics during Sports. Some campers got to shadow our social media manager with photography, learning how to take good photos and edit them.

The fun activities kept coming as the afternoon rolled around. Adventurous campers got to do campfire cooking, making things like bread and baked apples, while sporty campers took to the field for some football. Other campers tapped into their creativity with collage making with magazines and scraps.

To end our week 2 day 1, we finished the day with our classic icebreakers like stuffy bunny, weatbix challange and a costume race.

What will day 2 bring?

Campfire Night: Tuesday, 21 July

Nothing screams summer camp like a campfire! And that’s exactly what day 9 of World Camp UK brought!

We started the day off with breakfast and dodgeball as usual. Campers split between English, Creative, Adventure and Sports for their morning activities. English spent time on Nouns and Adjectives, while creative got really into improv acting. Sports started off with some field hockey, and adventure went into water survival skills, teaching swimming necessities to our campers.

In the afternoon, creative got to build some volcanoes!! While adventure shot arrows in archery and sports got to tackling in touch rugby.

As we got to the evening, the campfire was built, stories were told, songs were shared, and talents were shown. Campers headed to bed after watching a short movie.

Speaking of movies, that’s a big hint for our day 10 evening activity. Find out more tomorrow!

Oxford Trip and Camp Movie Night: Wednesday, 22 July

Our Oxford outing campers had lots to tell their friends once they returned, sharing stories about their tour around Oxford and displaying shopping hauls fo the rest of Camp.

Campers who stayed at home base only had 2 morning activities so we could stick with the chill theme. Creative spent their time painting and hiding Mecha Chameleon figures, while Sport had benchball (a classic and well-loved activity).

In the afternoon, the winding down leading to our evening activity continued. Creative did bracelet making and Adventure went canoeing in the local area.

Finally, our evening activity was a Movie Night! Campers got to watch a classic coming-of-age comedy movie before bed!

See you tomorrow for our theme night reveal!

Campchella: Thursday, 23 July

Day 11 was all about getting ready for one of our biggest nights of camp…Campchella!! Our very own version of Coachella! Creative campers spent the day painting and crafting to prepare for the evening, while our adventurous campers took on the high ropes, pushing themselves to new heights and cheering each other on along the way. As the sun went down, Campchella came to life with music, fun, and lifelong memories.

World Camp Oscars Award Night: Friday, 24 July

Day 12 brought another emotional end to another unforgettable week at L&E World Camp UK.

The reality that camp was coming to an end had started to sink in. It was the last full day for many of our campers, and although everyone was excited for the evening, there was definitely a feeling of sadness around camp. To help everyone slow down and enjoy their final day together, we kept the morning nice and relaxed with activities like origami and clay making. The afternoon was left open, giving campers time to pack, rest, and spend those last few moments together before saying goodbye.

We finished the week in style with our…Oscars Night! Celebrating all the memories, achievements, and friendships that had been made over the past two weeks.

To everyone heading home, thank you for making this week so special. Camp may be over, but the memories and friendships made here will last a lifetime.
