Monday, 14th July
We started the morning with a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and tater tots before diving into some energizing games like Duck Duck Goose, Bulldogs and Splat.
Campers then split off for a mix of soccer, rock painting, Young Global Leaders (YGL), or English sessions.
After a tasty stir-fry lunch, the afternoon brought excitement with options like laser tag, basketball and volleyball, rock climbing, and the great L&E cookoff.
After all that excitement, everyone cooled off with some relaxing lake time. Dinner was a classic spaghetti Bolognese, and the day wrapped up with YGL leading a fun-filled icebreaker competition to welcome the newcomers before everyone headed off to bed.
Tuesday, 15th July
Such a good day today in the lovely Canadian heat! Started the day off strong with a big game of capture the flag to start the day and then moved into friendship bracelets, tennis and our fabulous ygl and English groups.
Our afternoon activities included water polo, creative chill and scavenger hunt. We ended the day with a campfire with lots of incredible songs and performances and of course, hot chocolate and marshmallows.
Wednesday 16th July
Kicked the day off with some fabulous wide games to get everyone full of energy and ready for the day. We then split up into ygl, English, water yoga and den building in the morning. Fueled up with a delicious lunch ready for the great L&E triathlon, kayaking and clay making. We finished the day off with sandwiches the size of our heads and a movie night. Another great day at camp!!
Thursday 17th July
We kicked off the day with a delicious breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and bacon—perfect fuel for a full morning ahead. Campers jumped into their activities, with Young Global Leaders diving into their workshops and English learners building their language skills. Out on the field, some played a lively game of flag football, while others got creative designing their own original board games and card games.
Lunch was a classic camp favorite: juicy burgers and crispy fries. The afternoon was packed with fun as campers rotated through court sports, a wild slip-and-slide, and a challenging obstacle course. They also got creative with tie-dye, adding colorful flair to their shirts, and had the chance to conquer the climbing wall. With the sun shining and temperatures hitting the 30s, it was the perfect day to cool off at the lake.
Dinner featured stuffed chicken and pasta, giving everyone the energy they needed for one of the most anticipated events of the week—L&E Theme Night! Campers grouped into teams, picked songs, and brought the energy with choreographed dances and lip sync performances. It was an evening full of laughter, talent, and camp spirit—an unforgettable end to an action-packed day.
Friday 18th July
What a spectacular Friday we’ve just had at L&E! The sun shone down on another action-packed day, full of learning and laughter.
The morning kicked off with our campers diving into English lessons, where creativity flowed as freely as their confidence. Over in Young Global Leaders (YGL), future changemakers collaborated on challenges that tested their leadership and teamwork skills.
Then came the chaos… the Volcanoes! 🌋 Science met excitement as campers built and erupted their very own bubbling lava mountains. Safe to say, there were a few dramatic explosions and plenty of gasps and cheers!
Afternoon adventures were in full swing with something for everyone:
🏹 Archery sharpened focus and aim,
🌊 Paddle Boarding brought balance and boldness to the water,
⚽ Soccer was filled with fancy footwork and big goals,
🎾 Tennis rallies echoed across the courts,
and a high-energy Scavenger Hunt sent teams racing around camp in search of clues.
Let’s not forget the thrill of Laser Tag, where strategy and stealth ruled the forest battlefield!
But the true highlight of the day came as the sun dipped below the trees… it was time for the L&E Oscars! 🌟
Our final evening celebration was nothing short of magical. Campers took to the stage with songs, dances, magic tricks, and comedic acts that left us all in awe. The room was filled with applause, laughter, and the occasional standing ovation.
The spotlight shone brightest on Daulet from Kazakhstan, who received the prestigious Star Camper Award. Daulet’s energy, kindness, and enthusiasm all week long made him a true role model for his fellow campers. Well done, Daulet!
As the curtain fell on this unforgettable day that had it all – learning, play, adventure, and heart. Moments like these are what make L&E World Camps so special.
Weekend
This weekend at L&E World Camp was filled with heartfelt goodbyes, epic adventures, and exciting new beginnings!
Saturday began with a bittersweet moment as we waved goodbye to some of our incredible campers who had made the past week so memorable. But the adventures didn’t stop there! We hit the road and made our way to beautiful Victoria, the capital of British Columbia.
Our first stop was a relaxed picnic lunch in the park, followed by a visit to the adorable residents of the Beacon Hill Petting Zoo – goats, pigs, and even a peacock or two! Campers got hands-on with the animals, and more than a few friendships were formed (with goats and humans alike!).
In the afternoon, we explored the sights of downtown Victoria, from the iconic Parliament Buildings to the charming waterfront. Cameras clicked, curiosity sparked, and everyone soaked in the beauty of the city.
Sunday brought sunshine and sand as we travelled to Rathtrevor Beach, where the tide was low and the water was warm. Campers ran, splashed, built sand castles, and enjoyed the vast expanse of one of Vancouver Island’s most scenic spots.
And of course, no Sunday adventure would be complete without a sweet treat or two… We stopped at the legendary Goats on the Roof in Coombs, where we enjoyed ice creams, fresh donuts, and picked up some fun souvenirs to remember the day.
As the weekend came to a close, we returned to camp just in time to welcome our new campers with open arms and big smiles. We gathered for a delicious BBQ and ended the evening with some classic L&E wide games – the perfect way to kick off a new week of fun, connection, and adventure.
